Biography

Vance Feldman embarked on a lifelong journey to create the ForeverScape in 2009. In the eight years since then, he has grown the illustration to over three football fields long. The drawing is so immense that in order to show it all, he constructed a tension-sensing robotic paper winder to unroll the psychedelic landscape, which is carnivalesque in spirit and Orwellian in execution. Various excerpts and configurations of the ForeverScape have shown at the Space Needle in Seattle, The Denver Independent Comic Expo, AFRU Gallery and The Remains Gallery among other Northwest establishments.

After earning his B.A. in Studio Art from Reed College, Vance began his career developing sound-reactive animations for the Beastie Boys Mix-It-Up Tour, interactive video walls at the Library of Congress and installations at the Grammy Museum and Walt Disney Family Museum. By day he is a bleeding-edge software engineer and by night he adds to the ever growing ForeverScape.
